Introduction

This being my first post on my new, personal Drupal-oriented website, I'll give myself a brief introduction. Currently, I work for Large Animal Games (http://www.largeanimal.com/) as an independent contractor. With a team of several others, I develop the website, including the back end for Playwidgets. I'm also a fourth year student at Bowling Green State University, studying Business with a specialization in Finance. I should also mention, Large Animal is hiring Drupal developers!

Rating Drupal Modules and Themes

The main reason I started this website is to provide a test bed for my own modules and to test out contributed modules. From many conversations I've had with other contributers, I decided that it would be interesting to allow users to rate modules and themes. At first, I tried to talk d.o (drupal.org) developers about exposing this feature on d.o (let's be honest, it would be cake to do so because the modules already exist), but it was decided that votes would be skewed, as has been seen with other CMSs' websites. Taking the matter into my own hands, I wrote a module that fetches the latest modules and themes from d.o and inserts them as nodes on my site. Accordingly, users can login to my site (using their d.o username) and rate and comment on them. The module and theme listings are updated weekly, automatically. Without further adieu, rate some modules and themes.

The Plan

When I find time to squeeze a blog post in between class and work, I'll be writing about cool Drupal stuff I'm working on at Large Animal, as well as any other tidbits I find useful.
